My performance at the Arts Center on Jan. 23 was captured on Video, and it looks like THIS! Don’t give up on me when the technical difficulties start-there is a happy ending!
Just a reminder-don’t give up on me when my amp starts to screw up-there is a happy ending!
The Sugarfix Mix relies heavily on archival footage in the public domain. The Prelinger Archives at Archive.org is a great source for this, and is my very favorite thing on the internet. For fun, I take footage from these old films and match it with music that I like. Here are some examples-each video will be followed by links to the films used in them:
Schooner-Ominous Bird
Schooner from Billy Sugarfix on Vimeo.
Films Used:
Violet Vector and the Lovely Lovlies- Candyland
Violet Vector meets Touch of Magic from Billy Sugarfix on Vimeo.
Film Used:
Billy Sugarfix (aka ME)-Giant Humming Bird
Film Used: Excerpt from a 1957 Newsreel
To end, I’d like to include a preliminary version of the Felix Obelix video that used all archival footage.
Felix Obelix- Prelinger Mix from Billy Sugarfix on Vimeo.
The Final version of this video is Here
Links to the films used can be found at Sugarfix Mix Episode 3 which features an interview with Felix Obelix.
